Tour in the Cabardès

Leave your place of stay for the village of Aragon, an impressive range of buildings over a rocky spur. Laure, passionate about dry-stone buildings, will share her knowledge of the construction of a capitelle (dry-stone shelter typical of the region). Laure is the guide for the visit through the village to the Sainte-Marie church famous for its wood paintings of the 14th century.
After the church, visit the priory, the headquarters of the Cabardès wine appellation, where Adian leads a tasting of the wines and describes the attributes and beauty of the Cabardès.
Leave for the village of St Martin-Le-Viell where Annette, inn-keeper and mayor of the village, hosts a local countryside lunch in a friendly atmosphere.
In the afternoon explore this village of the troglodyte, where a cave (cruzels) is located under each house. Walk around this old village and listen to a passionate commentary of our guide about its rich history. Then into the forest to search for some extremely impressive capitelles,?? some of which are older than 100 years. Returning later to the village for refreshments.
As we return the the village fresh drinks are served with images of the day in mind!
